A man in his thirties from Jakarta. He wanted the receded corners of his hairline filled in.
Design is half the job. Bring the line straight down like a twenty-year-old's and it looks wrong ten years later. So I lowered it only 1.5 cm from where his line actually sat, and rounded the corners instead of squaring them.
Surgery took five hours. Grafts came from the occiput and went in at 25° — the same direction his hair already grows. Ignore the angle and the hair sticks out later.
From week two, the transplanted hairs fall out. That is normal. This is when I get the most worried messages. They start coming back at month four.
These are at seven months. Final density is judged at twelve months. I will photograph him again then and add it to this post.
